The Temple of Vespasian and Titus in marble.

The Temple of Vespasian and Titus is an ancient temple located in the Roman Forum, Rome, Italy. The temple was built in honour of the Roman emperors Vespasian and Titus, who were father and son and ruled during the 1st century AD.

Construction of the temple began during the reign of Vespasian, who commissioned the building to celebrate his victories in Judea. The temple was completed by his son, Titus, after Vespasian’s death.

The temple was dedicated to both emperors and was one of the largest and most impressive structures in the Roman Forum. It was built in the Corinthian style, with eight columns across the front and eleven columns on the sides. The temple was decorated with marble sculptures and reliefs, many of which depicted scenes from Vespasian and Titus’ military campaigns.

Today, the Temple of Vespasian and Titus is a popular tourist attraction in Rome and is known for its impressive architecture and historical significance. While the temple itself is no longer used for religious purposes, it stands as a testament to the power and influence of the Roman Empire.
