A large Grand Tour bust of Ajax, after the famous antique marble, with him looking dexter, in full battle armour.
Ajax was ruler of Salamis and a hero in the Trojan War, also known as “Ajax the Great”.
The original is at the Chateau d`anet, France.
This is one of a grand pair.
