Mercury – a beautiful reproduction of the statue by Thorvaldsen.

Mercury was the ancient Roman god of commerce, financial gain, travelers, and communication, among other things. He was also known as Hermes in Greek mythology, and was the son of Zeus and the Pleiad Maia.

He was often depicted as a young man with winged sandals and a winged helmet, which allowed him to move quickly and freely. He was also known for carrying a caduceus, a winged staff with two snakes wrapped around it, which symbolised his role as a messenger of the gods.

Height 130cm. 56 x 46 cm base. Weight 30kg.
